ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Bangkok, a dynamic city of 8 million that never sleeps, and never stops eating! Even at 3 in the morning you can find a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall or street vendor dishing out rich, spicy soup or satisfyingly salty fried snacks. And from street food to Michelin stars, I love it all!

I have always loved trying different kinds of food. I have now been to more than a dozen countries chasing new and authentic flavors! In Japan I tasted sushi fresh from the fish auction at Tsukiji market. In Florence, Italy I learned how to make pasta and sauce the way the Florentines have been making them for centuries.

But I always come back to Thai flavors. I can’t live without chili! I miss the powerful, complex flavors of my home country: lemongrass, Thai basil, garlic and turmeric… Sometimes I want to cook my favorite dish, but there are herbs I can’t find find Tallahassee –so I have them delivered directly from Thailand!

As part of my bachelor’s degree in tourism management, I studied royal Thai cooking. We learned the foundation of Thai cuisine: starting with dishes so traditional they’ve disappeared from the menus of today, before learning how to adapt classic recipes for international palettes using a fusion approach.

I went on to earn an MBA and pursue a professional career outside of the culinary industry. In Bangkok I worked as an executive  sales representative in Volvo’s diplomatic program, working with clients from embassies, the United Nations and foreign diplomats.

In 2016 I left that behind to move to Tallahassee and make a home with my husband, Mark. I believe my destiny brought me here to pursue my passion and talent for cooking! I’m excited to introduce people to the traditional Thai techniques and tastes, as well as the international flavors I’ve come to love.

For me, food has always been a way of experiencing the world. I can’t wait to share a few of my experiences with you!
